Manual Takeoff and Landing
The remote controller uses Mode 2 by default at the factory. During flight, use the left joystick (item 3 in the figure) to control flight altitude and yaw angle, and use the right joystick (item 19 in the figure) to move the aircraft forward, backward, left, and right.
| Joystick Input | Function |
|---|---|
| Push the left joystick up | Increase the UAV altitude |
| Push the left joystick down | Decrease the UAV altitude |
| Push the left joystick left | Yaw the UAV nose horizontally to the left |
| Push the left joystick right | Yaw the UAV nose horizontally to the right |
| Push the right joystick up | Move the UAV horizontally forward in the nose direction |
| Push the right joystick down | Move the UAV horizontally backward from the nose direction |
| Push the right joystick left | Move the UAV horizontally to the left |
| Push the right joystick right | Move the UAV horizontally to the right |
- Arm/disarm the motors: Move switch 1 to the top position and hold it there for 2 seconds to arm the UAV. When landing, hold the throttle at its lowest position for 3 seconds; the aircraft will automatically enter idle mode and disarm.
- Take off: Slowly push the throttle joystick upward (the left joystick in Mode 2) to make the aircraft take off.
- Land: Pull the throttle joystick downward (the left joystick in Mode 2) until the aircraft lands. Hold it at its lowest position for 3 seconds; the aircraft will disarm automatically and the motors will stop.
Set the Remote Controller Channel Values
To operate the UAV with Prometheus Ground Station, reset the trigger values of the QE3 remote controller's three-position switches.
The factory preset values do not match the program's trigger values. In Remote Control Assistant, set the three-position switch trigger values to 1000, 1500, and 2000, respectively.
