Pre-Mission Checklist
Equipment Check
- Three-Position Switch: Confirm that it is in the safe position for startup/unlocking (usually the locked position).
- Remote Controller Battery Level: A battery level > 50% is recommended.
- Unmanned Platform / Robot Battery Level: A battery level > 80% is recommended.
- Device Connection: Confirm that the remote controller has been paired and connected to the target unmanned platform / robot terminal (see 4.2 Device Pairing (Placeholder)).
- Signal Strength: Confirm that the signal strength is good, with no noticeable fluctuations.
- GPS Status (if GPS mode is used): Confirm that the number of satellites and positioning status meet the requirements for safe takeoff.
- Return-to-Home Point: Confirm that the return-to-home point has been set correctly.
Environment Check

Mission Workflow
Step 1: Preparation (Typically 5 Minutes)

- Review the equipment and environment checklists again.
Step 2: Pre-Mission Preparation (Typically 2 Minutes)
- Follow “4.1 First Startup” to power on the remote controller and confirm its status;
- Power on the controlled platform / robot according to its manual, and wait for the self-check and positioning/status checks to complete;
- Confirm that the data link video feed or status-monitoring data is clear and refreshing normally.
Step 3: Mission Start / Drive Operation (Typically 1 Minute)
- Unlock or start the actuator (such as a motor / drive wheel) according to the manual for the controlled platform / robot;
- Start slowly at a low speed/power setting so that the device enters its operating state within a safe area (for example, moving slowly or ascending slowly to a safe altitude);
- Pause briefly and observe whether the attitude, position, and other data are normal.
Step 4: Basic Operation Practice (Typically 5 ~ 10 Minutes)

- Inspect the device exterior and critical components for damage or foreign objects;
- Check the remaining battery level, and charge or store the battery in accordance with the battery specifications;
- Check whether photos/videos and mission logs have been saved properly.

Beginner Recommendations
- Practice the first mission in a low-risk, confined area whenever possible, and gradually increase the difficulty;
- Keep all control-stick movements as smooth as possible and avoid sudden changes;
- Do not conduct the first practice session in strong winds or complex environments.
Key Safety Points
- Always maintain visual observation of the unmanned platform / robot or operating area; do not rely entirely on the screen;
- Pay attention to changes in the surrounding environment. If pedestrians or vehicles approach, prioritize slowing down, stopping the device, or leaving the operating area;
- If an abnormal condition occurs (such as loss of control, strong winds, or loss of the data link), follow the mission contingency plan and perform a safety action such as returning to home, stopping, or making an emergency stop as soon as possible.
Common Issues and Emergency Response
