Maintenance and Care

This section provides recommendations for cleaning, storage, battery care, and other aspects of the QE3 Screen Remote Controller. The aim is to extend the device's reliable service life as much as possible without adding an excessive maintenance burden.

Routine Cleaning

• Gently wipe the screen and enclosure with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or cleaners containing strong solvents;
• Before cleaning, it is recommended to turn off the device and disconnect the power supply;
• Use cotton swabs or suitable compressed air to remove dust from ports and gaps. Take care not to introduce liquids or hard foreign objects into the device.

Periodic Inspection

It is recommended to perform a simple inspection at regular intervals (such as weekly/monthly):

• Appearance and structure: Check the enclosure, screen, buttons, and control sticks for cracks, looseness, or abnormal wear;
• Ports and cables: Check Type‑C, HDMI, network, and other ports for signs of oxidation, bending, or poor contact;
• Functional self-test: After turning on the device, confirm that touch control, network connections, commonly used applications, the data link, and other functions are operating normally.

For devices used in critical missions, a more detailed inspection and record-keeping process can be established based on actual usage requirements.

Storage and Transportation

• When the device will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to keep the battery level at 50% and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight;
• Whenever possible, use the original packaging or a shock-resistant protective case for transportation to reduce the risk of drops and severe vibration;
• Avoid prolonged exposure to environments with high humidity, high salt fog levels, or strongly corrosive gases.

Battery Use and Care

• Avoid frequently discharging the battery completely. Charge it promptly when the remaining battery level is low;
• Charge the device in a well-ventilated environment whenever possible, and avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight;
• If the battery exhibits noticeable swelling, leakage, or an abnormal temperature increase, stop using it immediately and dispose of it properly in accordance with environmental requirements.

Firmware and Configuration Maintenance

• Check for firmware update information periodically, perform upgrades during an appropriate maintenance window, and keep records from before and after each upgrade;
• For critical configurations such as button mappings, channel layouts, and network settings, it is recommended to export and back them up after debugging is complete and operation is stable, facilitating fault recovery and rapid deployment across multiple devices.

Proper routine maintenance can significantly reduce the probability of unexpected faults and provide clearer baseline conditions for subsequent troubleshooting.
