This section provides an overview of the QE3 Screen Remote Controller's overall support for local area networking (Wi‑Fi and Ethernet) and data link expansion. Specific module combinations and performance depend on the delivered configuration. This product does not support 4G/5G cellular communication.

Caution: During use, disable RF functions such as Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth whenever possible.

Communication Capabilities Overview

Wi‑Fi Supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless LANs and is compatible with common routers and APs
Ethernet Provides an RJ45 Ethernet port for connecting to a wired network (the actual data rate is subject to measurement and the included documentation)
Bluetooth Can be used to connect nearby peripherals (subject to the actual product specifications)

The QE3 includes a reserved expansion bay and RF interfaces, allowing different data link modules to be installed according to actual requirements, for example:

  • Integrated data transmission/data link modules with various frequency-band and power specifications;
  • Third-party industrial-grade data link solutions, etc.

When using an expansion data link module, ensure that the module supports SBUS. Different modules vary in effective range, bandwidth, and number of nodes; refer to the documentation for the corresponding module.

  • For long-range or high-reliability scenarios, prioritize a wired network or a highly reliable data link as the primary channel;
  • In urban environments or environments with complex interference, thoroughly assess occupancy of the 2.4 GHz band and configure the frequency band and channel appropriately;
  • In systems that already have a built-in data link and a frequency-band plan, the centrally planned built-in data link solution should generally serve as the primary link. External data link/data transmission modules should mainly extend range, provide redundant backup, or supplement the primary link in specific scenarios, thereby avoiding frequency-band conflicts among multiple RF solutions;
  • For applications that require connectivity across network segments, design the security strategy holistically using solutions such as wired networks, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, leased lines, or self-hosted servers (not via cellular/mobile networks).
