The following tutorial describes the remote controller settings. As shown below, the controller has two sticks: a left stick and a right stick.

Tip

For the QE-2 remote controller, after powering on the LQ, press and hold the remote controller power button to turn on the remote controller.

  • The remote controller's default factory stick mode is Mode 2. During flight, use the left stick to control the flight altitude and heading, and use the right stick to control the aircraft's forward, backward, left, and right movement.

Caution

The remote controller has been configured at the factory. Do not change its settings without authorization!

Stick operation

Stick movement Function
Push the left stick up Increase the UAV's altitude
Push the left stick down Decrease the UAV's altitude
Push the left stick left Turn the UAV's nose horizontally to the left
Push the left stick right Turn the UAV's nose horizontally to the right
Push the right stick up Move the UAV horizontally forward
Push the right stick down Move the UAV horizontally backward
Push the right stick left Move the UAV horizontally to the left
Push the right stick right Move the UAV horizontally to the right

Stick channels

Channel Function
Channel 5 (SWA) UAV arm/disarm switch. The first position at the top is disarm, and the third position at the bottom is arm.
Channel 6 (SWB) The first and second positions are POSCTL mode. By default, after the UAV is armed and takes off using the ground control station, it enters COMMAND_CONTROL autonomous control mode. Move the switch from the first position to the second position to enter position-control and manual-control mode. The third position is LAND mode.
Channel 7 (SWC) The first position at the top disables the emergency motor stop. The third position at the bottom triggers an emergency landing (the motors will stop immediately) and is intended for emergencies.
Channel 8 (SWD) Not enabled

Remote controller signal indicator

Interface 1: The remote controller signal level is indicated as follows:

Status Description
White 100% Blue 80% Green 60% Yellow 40%
Red 20% Flashing red 0%
Red indicates a poor signal (see state A in the figure). Interference, obstruction, or exceeding the communication range will generally cause the indicator to flash red or remain red. In this case, adjust the antenna or have the aircraft return to home to ensure flight safety. State B in the figure indicates the strongest signal. States B, C, and D indicate successively weaker signals.

Remote controller battery-level indicator

Interface 2: The battery-level indicator is on the side. A full charge provides 6 hours of use. When the battery level is low, the remote controller emits a beeping sound. Use a Type-C charger to charge it. Do not use a fast charger intended for a mobile phone or computer. In particular, do not connect a high-voltage Type-C charger while using the remote controller; otherwise, the remote controller may malfunction.

Remote controller charging port

Interface 3: This is the remote controller charging port. Connect a standard Type-C connector to charge the remote controller. You can also connect it to a computer with a USB data cable and use it while charging.

Warning

The remote controller charging port is a standard USB port with a rated voltage of 5 V. Using a high-power Type-C port may cause the remote controller to malfunction, especially if the charger is connected while the remote controller is in use. If charging during use, it is recommended to use a computer's USB port.

Remote controller Ethernet port

Interface 5: This is a standard Ethernet port. It is used to connect to a computer running the ground control station for network IP communication and data transmission.

Remote controller data communication port

Interface 4: This is the remote controller data communication port. Users who are unfamiliar with it are advised not to use it. If you need to use it, refer to the detailed LQ data link configuration instructions and avoid incorrect parameter settings that could render the device unusable.
