Caution
When using the ground control station to connect to the aircraft, disable the VPN on the computer and disable the firewall (or allow the Prometheus ground control station through the firewall) to avoid connection failures with the onboard computer.
The interface screenshots and viewing instructions for Connection Settings and Basic Information in this section are illustrative and apply regardless of differences between ground control station versions.
Warning
When using QGC to execute a mission, do not open the Prometheus ground control station. Doing so may cause the aircraft to crash. Do not perform this operation!
- Locate the ground control station software on the local computer

After opening the Prometheus ground control station, click Connection Settings. A connection window appears.

-
After opening the Prometheus ground control station, click Connection Settings
-
Connection settings window
-
Click the selection control to select this connection configuration
- The UAV number, host address, and type. The number represents the UAV ID and defaults to 1. The host address is the IP address of the UAV's onboard computer (the default IP address of the P450 is 192.168.1.11). The type is set to UAV by default. The name is the label displayed on the map and the 2D map.
-
Click Connect. The Prometheus ground control station starts connecting to the UAV
-
Click Disconnect. The Prometheus ground control station starts disconnecting from the UAV
- After clicking Connect or Disconnect, click X in the upper-right corner of the connection settings window to close it

If the connection entry is not selected and you click Configure to enter edit mode, click Modify first, and then click Connect
Check whether the connection is normal
- Prometheus ground control station main interface after the connection settings window is closed

- Click Message Feedback
- UAV message feedback is received normally
-
If no message feedback appears, troubleshoot the network environment configuration on the computer
-
Click Message Feedback in the navigation bar to view the connection feedback. As shown below, the connection is successful.

- Click Function Scripts
- Nodes currently running on the onboard computer (nodes started by default after the Prometheus ground control station connects to the UAV)
- Current CPU usage of the onboard computer
Check whether the data is normal
- Check the UAV's current status information
- It should match the UAV's current state
- Check the UAV's current position data
- It should match the UAV's current state

At this point, the UAV status information has been successfully connected to the Prometheus professional ground control station.
Status information monitoring
Status information monitoring is presented in three parts: important information monitoring in the secondary navigation bar; real-time status information and desired data information on the main interface in the navigation bar; and UAV status under Data Monitoring in the left navigation bar of the main interface.

- Important information monitoring, including flight controller status, arming status, flight mode, battery level, controller, positioning source, control status, whether protection has been triggered, GPS status, and the number of GPS satellites.
- Current UAV status information, divided into two parts: Basic Position includes real-time position information, real-time velocity information, and real-time attitude information; GPS Position includes latitude and longitude.
- Desired UAV information, including desired position information and desired velocity information.

-
- UAV status information. This is the complete UAV status information, including the ID, positioning source, flight mode, connection status, whether odom is valid, GPS status, and other UAV status information. For details, see the msg definition in the Prometheus source code: UAVState.msg
Video streaming
1. Click **Main Interface** to play the streamCaution
Before streaming, check whether the video stream address is rtsp://192.168.1.11:8554/live. If it is not, enter the correct address in Streaming Settings under the ground control station's System Settings.

Disconnect
This disconnection process shuts down all other launched related nodes except the communication node and the main node.

- Click 1 to open the connection settings window
- Select the host to disconnect
- Click Disconnect.
- Message feedback appears after disconnection.
