Online Upgrade

Download the upgrade script and use it in an environment with Internet access.

Download the upgrade script and use it in an environment with Internet access.

Extract the archive:

tar -xvf Update_Jetpack513.tar.gz

Enter Update_Jetpack513:

cd Update_Jetpack513

Run the software:

./update.sh

Start the upgrade.

When the process reaches this step:

Select: Y

The upgrade is successful.

Upgrade and Adaptation Using SDK Manager

    1. First, use SDK Manager to flash the official Jetson Linux 35.5.0 (JetPack 5.1.3) image.
  • Procedure:

    1. Put the onboard computer into REC mode:

    1.1 Turn off power to the system.

    1.2 Use a USB cable to connect the ORIN OTG-USB port to a USB port on the Ubuntu development host.

    1.3 Press and hold the REC button, power on the system, keep holding the button for at least 3 seconds, and then release the REC button.

    1.4 Enter lsusb in the host terminal. If an NVIDIA device is displayed, the device has successfully entered Recovery mode and subsequent operations such as flashing and backup can be performed. If no NVIDIA device is displayed, check the cable and the procedure for entering the mode, and then try again.

    1. Open SDM Manager on the host and select the version to flash (Jetson 5.1.3). After selecting it, click CONTINUE to proceed to the next step.

    1. Select the applications to install (the defaults are sufficient), and click CONTINUE to proceed to the next step.

    1. Be sure to select NVMe during installation. New Username and New Password are the username and login password, which you can customize.

    1. When you reach this step, click Skip.

    1. Use the patch released by AMOVLAB to adapt the system for the Allspark 2 onboard computer.

Upgrading and Adapting Ubuntu 22.04 Jetson Linux 36.3.0 (JetPack 6.0) Using SDK Manager

    1. First, use SDK Manager to flash the official Jetson Linux 36.3.0 (JetPack 6.0) image. Select JetPack 6.0.
  • Procedure:

    1. Put the onboard computer into REC mode:

    1.1 Turn off power to the system.

    1.2 Use a USB cable to connect the ORIN OTG-USB port to a USB port on the Ubuntu development host.

    1.3 Press and hold the REC button, power on the system, keep holding the button for at least 3 seconds, and then release the REC button.

    1.4 Enter lsusb in the host terminal. If an NVIDIA device is displayed, the device has successfully entered Recovery mode and subsequent operations such as flashing and backup can be performed. Note

1. When upgrading with SDK Manager, be sure to select the matching JetPack version. Otherwise, the system will crash after the patch is applied.

2. When installing Jetson Linux 36.3.0 (JetPack 6.0) Ubuntu 22.04, the host must be running Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04; otherwise, the JetPack 6.0 option will not be available.

Upgrading and Adapting Ubuntu 22.04 Jetson Linux 36.4.0 (JetPack 6.1) Using SDK Manager

    1. First, use SDK Manager to flash the official Jetson Linux 36.4.0 (JetPack 6.1) image. Select JetPack 6.1.
  • Procedure:

    1. Put the onboard computer into REC mode:

    1.1 Turn off power to the system.

    1.2 Use a USB cable to connect the ORIN OTG-USB port to a USB port on the Ubuntu development host.

    1.3 Press and hold the REC button, power on the system, keep holding the button for at least 3 seconds, and then release the REC button.

    1.4 Enter lsusb in the host terminal. If an NVIDIA device is displayed, the device has successfully entered Recovery mode and subsequent operations such as flashing and backup can be performed.
