10.4 4G Test

Step 1: Open the rear cover. If a Wi Fi module is installed, remove its retaining screw, carefully release the Ipex snap connector, and then remove the Wi Fi module.

Installing the 4G Module Hardware

Prepare the following items to install the 4G module: a 4G module (with a SIM card slot), an Ipex1-to-Ipex3 adapter cable, and an MMCX antenna. Contact sales to purchase any missing items.

Step 1: Open the rear cover. If a Wi-Fi module is installed, remove its retaining screw, carefully release the Ipex snap connector, and then remove the Wi-Fi module.

Step 2: Install a 4G Micro SIM card. The 4G Micro SIM card must be installed in the slot indicated below; otherwise, the 4G function will not work.

Install a China Unicom, China Mobile, or China Telecom SIM card in the 4G module's card slot.

Tip
A Micro SIM card must be used.

Step 3: Install the 4G module and secure it with an M2X3 mm screw.

Step 4: Install the Ipex adapter cable. Install Ipex3 first, and then install Ipex4.

Step 5: Install the rear cover and antenna.

Tip
The antenna must be connected after assembly; otherwise, the network connection will not work.

Configuring the 4G Module Software

Click Mobile Broadband in Settings.
Select Add New Connection.
Click Next.
Select China and click Next.
Select China Model and click Next.
Select Internet and click Next.
Click Apply.
Confirm that the installation was successful.
