Input/Output Interfaces

  • GH1.25 Power Input Interface: The power input interface of the LQ3 Data Link Mobile Unit supports 12V~18V DC power input. The + terminal is positive, and the - terminal is negative. It can be used with the power cable included in the cable kit.

  • GH1.25 Serial Port Interface: This is a UART interface that can output 5V at <150mA. UART3 supports SBUS input and output. It can be used with the serial cable included in the cable kit. For the specific UART interface pinout, refer to the silkscreened interface labels on the enclosure.

  • GH1.25 Ethernet Port Interface: When used with the Ethernet adapter cable supplied with the LQ-3, it can connect directly to a computer for network data transmission.

External Indicator LEDs

  • Unlike the LQ3 Data Link Station Unit, the LQ3 Data Link Mobile Unit has all its signal indicator LEDs on the top to save space. The corresponding signal indicators can be identified by the silkscreen markings.

  • NAT1 and NAT2 indicator LEDs: These are the Ethernet port LEDs. NAT1 and NAT2 indicate whether data is being transmitted and exchanged through Ethernet port 1 and Ethernet port 2, respectively.

  • RUN LED: This is the operation indicator LED. After startup, it changes from solid white to rapidly flashing white, indicating that the device is operating.

  • UART1, UART2, and UART3 indicator LEDs: These are the serial port LEDs. UART1, UART2, and UART3 indicate whether data is being transmitted through serial port 1, serial port 2, and serial port 3, respectively.

  • The RSSI indicator LED indicates the signal strength. The signal strength indications are shown in the following table:

Human-Machine Interface Buttons

  • Reset Button: This button can be used to reset the device. If the reset button is pressed while the device is powering on, the device will be reset to its factory settings and restored to its factory-default state.

Input/Output Interfaces

  • Charging Interface: This is a Type-C charging interface that supports 5V/1A power input. It can only be used for charging and does not support data transmission.

  • Helical Antenna Interface: Supports an external helical antenna and accepts a helical antenna with external threads and a center pin.

External Indicator LEDs

  • Power Indicator LEDs: There are 4 battery-level bars in total, with each bar representing 25% of the battery level. Users can calculate the device's current battery level from the displayed bars.

  • Signal Indicator LED and RUN LED: The signal indicator LED indicates the current signal status, and the RUN LED indicates whether the device is operating normally.

  • Label 1 in the following figure indicates the signal indicator LED (a flashing red signal indicator LED means that no device is connected):

  • Serial Port and Ethernet Port LEDs: The serial port LED indicates whether the device is transmitting serial data, and the Ethernet port LED indicates whether the device is transmitting data through the Ethernet port.
    • The LED beside the serial port is the serial port LED. A flashing serial port LED indicates that serial data is being transmitted; if it is not flashing, no serial data is being transmitted.
    • The LED beside the Ethernet port is the Ethernet port LED. A flashing Ethernet port LED indicates that data is being transmitted through the Ethernet port; if it is not flashing, no data is being transmitted through the Ethernet port.

Human-Machine Interface Buttons

  • No. 1 Power Button: This button can be used to control the device power. After the power button is pressed, the device enters the operating state. Power-on procedure: Briefly press the power button. After hearing a beep, press and hold the button until the RUN LED flashes, indicating that the device has entered operating mode.
  • No. 2 Reset Button: This button can be used to reset the device. If the reset button is pressed while the device is powering on, the device will be reset to its factory settings and restored to its factory-default state.
